Our log cabins at Spring Heath are situated in 10 acres of beautiful meadow and woodland. All four cabins have a wonderful view across the two serene fishing lakes which are both well-stocked; the first for course fishing and second for Carp. Each lodge is semi-detached and pet friendly.

Lodge 4 sleeps up to 6 guests in 3 bedrooms – one double and two twin rooms - and is ideal for those with limited mobility as the family bathroom is furnished with a wet room style shower. The spacious and bright open-plan living room offers comfy sofa seating and TV, a dining area for six and a well-equipped kitchen with a fridge freezer, cooker, microwave and dishwasher. Outside there is a roomy, south-facing veranda which is perfect for relaxation, offering al fresco dining and an opportunity to sunbathe in warmer weather.

Spring Heath Log Cabins are in a great location for anyone who wants to relax and unwind whilst soaking up some gorgeous Shropshire countryside. Within walking distance of Spring Heath (approx. half a mile) is the traditional village of Knockin where there is a local pub and shop.

Within driving distance you will also find the Shropshire Sculpture Park, Llanymynech Rocks Nature Reserve and the interesting town of Oswestry which offers numerous shops, cafés and restaurants as well as the Cambrian Heritage Railway. For a fantastic day out, why not drive into Chester where you could visit Chester Zoo, Chester Castle, the Cathedral Gardens and Roman ruins, or simply enjoy a spot of retail therapy in some of Chester’s numerous shops.

Spring Heath Fishery - Booking Terms & Conditions of Hire

A non refundable deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to arrival. No reminders will be sent and if payment is not received by the due date you may risk losing your holiday. Bookings made within 4 weeks of arrival date must be paid in full at the time of the booking. Admittance is not allowed without full payment.
There is a refundable secuirty deposit of £150 which is payable with the balance of hire and returned to you within 5 working days of departure should the cabins be left in good order.

Payment can be made by either debit or credit card, bank transfer or by sending a cheque.
Upon payment of your deposit we shall send you confirmation of details of your stay together with the terms and conditions of your stay.

All lets start at 3.00pm and end at 10.00am unless agreed by the management.

No extra guests other than the details of those provided are allowed unless the management is advised prior to arrival and the occupancy level has not been reached.

Dogs - Guests who bring dogs must ensure that the animal/s do not disturb other guests. This includes barking, aggressive behaviours or fouling. All dogs must be prevented to causing damage to cabins, verandas or furniture. Any dog owners who fail to control their animals will be asked to remove the animal from site immediately, no refunds will be given if this impacts the guests stay and deposits will be held for damage should it occur.

Smoking  / naked flames - No smoking in the cabins or on the verandas, no candles, fires or BBQ's in the cabins or on the veranda's. Deposits will be held if smoking occurs within the cabins or if marks occur.

If you need to cancel your log cabin holiday please contact the owners immediately by telephone. Please note deposits are not refundable. No refund of any log cabin holiday payments will be made for cancellations and all monies will be forfeited. We will however endeavour to help you rearrange your holiday at a mutually acceptable time.

We reserve the right to cancel or make any amendments to your log cabin holiday without liability which may be necessary owing to circumstances beyond our control. We will endeavour to inform you as soon as possible.

We endeavour to provide facilities as advertised or previously available. We reserve the right to alter, delete or close amenities or facilities without prior notice and without compensation.
Force majeure - we regret we cannot accept any responsibility or pay any compensation for circumstances beyond our control such as natural disasters, industrial disputes, fires, technical problems, acts of government etc.

Important Information

• Fishing on Ecclestone is included in your stay but fishing on Blurton is £10 per adult per day.
• Ecclestone lake is the nearest one to the lodges and is suitable for all fishing abilities. It contains coarse fish and also carp up to 15lbs; fishing there is included in the price of the holiday. Blurton lake contains carp up to 30lbs and is suitable for experienced anglers, there is charge of £10 per adult per day to fish there.
• Carp & coarse fishing available for people in wheelchairs or with mobility problems.
• Fishing available all year.
• EA Rod Licence must be held.
• No fish to be removed or killed.
• No more than two rods to be used.
• All landing nets to be dipped.
• No unaccompanied children under 16.
• No dogs allowed for day ticket anglers.
• No fixed leads or feeders.
• No wire bait coils / clips for meat / maggots.
• Only Particle & pellet baits purchased on-site can be used.
• Non-resident fishing guests are not permitted unless prior consent is given, a £1 charge will be made if permission is granted.
• Unhooking mats: We would prefer you to use them.
• Fishing from 7am to dusk. No night fishing.
• No hook larger than size 8.
• Barbless hooks only.
• No keep nets.
• No litter.
• No treble hooks.
• No night fishing on either pool.
• Additional Rules for Blurton Pool:
• Blurton Pool: Minimum net size 36 inches, no pan landing nets.
• Large unhooking mats are compulsory.
• No children under 16.
• No nut baits.
• No sacks.

Oswestry Castle - 6 miles away, 15 minutes by car. Once upon a time this was a significant castle for the town of Oswestry, pop in to find out why, with stunning views from the top, you will just need to follow a short winding path.

Chester Zoo - 37 miles away, 50 minutes by car. One of the UK's largest zoos, measuring at 51 hectares, having a variety of animals that call it home, such as African Painted Dogs, Lions, Meerkats, Penguins & more inlcuding the UK's largest tropical biodome.

Powis Castle & Garden - 17 miles away, 30 minutes by car. A National Trust site where you can visit celebrated gardens that have a medival castle dramitically rising above them.

Pontcysyllte Aqueduct - 18 miles away, 30 minute by car. A navigable aqueduct that carries the Llangollen Canal ocer the River Dee, standing at 128ft high this 18 arched structure has UNESCO heritage status, this feat of engineering needs to be explored.

Oswestry Golf Club - 5.5 miles away, 9 minutes by car. Know for it's all year round condition, this 18 hole course is a must for all golf enthusiasts, with a modern clubhouse for a bit to eat or a well earned drink.

Black Hawk Laser Games - 5 miles away, 10 minutes by car. Offering a varitey of activities from Laser Tag, Virtual Reality games and even Escape rooms.
