Secret Water is a very unique, floating, glamping pod situated on the edge of a peaceful boatyard in Beccles on the scenic River Waveney on the Southern Broads. It sleeps a maximum of 4 people in 2 bedrooms; one double bedroom and a bedroom with 2 full size single bunk beds fitted in an L-shape. The pod has a kitchenette with a 2 ring induction hob, microwave and a small fridge. There is a wet room with a shower, loo and wash basin. Underfloor heating is fitted throughout and bed linen and towels are provided.

At the front of the pod, overlooking the river, there is an open air patio area with a folding table and chairs provided; giving you the chance to enjoy your meals ‘al fresco’, partake in a spot of fishing, feed the ducks or simply enjoy the view while soaking up the sun. A rowboat is also included, allowing you to take a leisurely row along the river if you wish.

Beccles town is made up of little market squares and streets that wind alongside the River Waveney. Around every corner are quirky, independent shops, restaurants and cafes. Locally you will find Beccles Lido, various river trips, the Friday street market and a local history museum. Further afield there are naval, aviation and transport museums, outdoor karting, parks, gardens and medieval churches to explore. The coast is also just 20 minutes’ drive from Beccles or there is a local train station if you prefer to travel by rail, so you'll find plenty to do if you like to be busy. Otherwise, just relax on the decking, the choice is yours.

Secret Water is in a great location on the Southern Broads, less than 1 mile from Beccles Station and within easy reach by car or train to Norwich.

The pod is accessed by a part concrete, part gravel and dirt path with grass verges. There can be uneven surfaces, the paths are maintained with natural materials which alter throughout the seasons. There is one iron gate on the path that needs opening and closing by hand.

The Norfolk and Suffolk coastline and sandy beaches are within a short 30 minute drive from the property.

There are numerous family-friendly attractions in the local area including the Lido, river trips and further afield the Mediaeval City of Norwich complete with Castle, Cathedral and open market.

There are also plenty of water activities available at the boatyard, such as canoeing, kayaking or hiring a Stand Up Paddleboards. Guided tours can be booked.

• A designated parking space is available at the boatyard on a flat, slightly uneven surface.
• A drop off point is also available at the entrance. Please Note: There are 2 steps to gain entry into reception.
• Secret Water is a riverside location approximately 320 steps from the car park.
• You will exit the car park via an iron gate that requires opening and closing by hand.
• You will then follow an uneven gravel/dirt path to the pod.
• Access to the decking of the property is on a level path.
• There is a permanent ramp to the decking of property. Please Note: The gradient of the ramp will be dependent on the tide.
• Assistance can be provided with luggage if requested in advance.
• There are 2 steps to access the inside of the property: 1 from the decking and 1 to enter the lounge.
• The property is all on one level inside.
• Direct fishing access is available from the decking of your pod.
