General
Broad View at South Walsham Broad is a 2 storey riverside property with its own mooring which has a day boat that is free for you to use during your stay. To make the most of this prime location the social areas are spilt over the ground and first floor of this house to take advantage of the stunning river views.
This 5 bedroom property can sleep up to 10 people in 1 king sized bedroom, 2 double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms. Four of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and the other twin bedroom has access to a washroom. The king size double master bedroom is on the first floor. All other bedrooms are on the ground floor. The downstairs open plan kitchen/dining/lounge extends the full width of the house so even as a large group there is plenty of space for everyone to relax. Underfloor heating throughout makes the space nice and cosy in the cooler months. If you would prefer to take in the river views then head out to the decked patio or lawned garden. Alternatively, head to the upstairs lounge area for a bit of rest and relaxation.
This property is located in a superb position on the South Walsham Broads, just 7 miles from Norwich. On your doorstep, nature surrounds you in abundance. The property is nestled alongside the South Walsham Staithe. This quaint village is home to a busy and popular tearoom which is open to everyone and is visited by many walkers that pass through on the circular route to Upton. For wildlife lovers do visit Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden. Home to 130 acres of cultivated, wild and natural plantings there is 4 miles of woodland and pathways to explore. There is even the opportunity to take a boat trip. Further afield Norwich is a beautiful medieval city with cobbled streets, excellent shopping, lots of lovely eateries and a Castle. It is certainly worth an afternoon stroll around this beautiful city. The Norfolk coastline and beautiful beaches are only a short drive away.
Broad View has everything you need for both a relaxing and an active holiday. Paddleboards are available for use and as this is a waterside location there is no excuse not to get out and explore. If you want to slow the pace down then fishing is available direct from the property. At the end of the garden there is a pretty thatched pergola for watching the world go by on the river or for spotting the varied wildlife. After a busy morning of activities perhaps spend the afternoons relaxing in a quiet corner of the house or choose a sunny spot in the garden. Have a late afternoon aperitif as you fire up the BBQ to dine alfresco whilst watching the sunset over South Walsham. Finish off the evening with a quiet game of chess or some table football.
Broad View is perfect for larger groups who have varied interests. I am sure you will find there is something for everyone and that you will wish to return here time and time again.
