‘Tour De Scotland’: Cycle Trails on the Scottish West Coast

Arisaig – A small village located on the west coast and on the banks of Loch nan Ceall, Arisaig is another great spot for some coastal bike routes. Rides from Arisaig to Kyle of Lochalsh and Kilchoan are highly recommended and the former will take you over to the Isle of Skye.

Kyle of Lochalsh – Kyle of Lochalsh is a village located to the west of Inverness, on the North West coast of Scotland. It is isolated, but surrounded by breathtaking coastal scenery and a number of great cycling routes: to Applecross, to Arisaig, to FortAugustus and to Portree.

Barcaldine to Creagan – Covering the indented coastline of west Argyll, this ride is perfect for inexperienced riders. The circuit takes in Loch Creran, and offers great views of nearby mountains and wildlife such as seals.
